June 12, 2025, the curtain rises at Cleveland’s historic Capitol Theatre for the long-awaited premiere of Roger Conner's MEAT: The Movie — a visceral, unapologetic plunge into psychological horror that’s already making waves in indie film circles.
Written and directed by Roger Conners— an acting force behind American Poltergeist: The Curse of Lilith Ratchet and one of Cleveland’s most prolific genre filmmakers—MEAT promises a feverish mix of slasher terror, surrealism, and emotional dissection. Conners, also known for his powerful on-screen presence, leads with bold vision and uncompromising artistry, cementing his legacy as the region’s reigning scream king.

Behind the screen, the film's sonic world hits just as hard as the visuals. Butterfly Temples Studio is proud to have crafted the soundscape that holds the horror together.
Michael Kohlbecker helmed the sound design, layering unsettling textures and grounded tension to enhance the film’s brutal atmosphere.
Bence Bobak provided the re-recording mix, ensuring every scream, breath, and silence landed with maximum impact.
Joshua C. Love composed the original score, a psychological and emotional descent that pulses beneath every moment like a second heartbeat.
From the haunting character themes to the razor-sharp final mix, MEAT is a technical and creative triumph. This collaboration showcases the power of Cleveland’s indie film community and what happens when a team dares to go deep into the dark.
Don’t miss the premiere at Cleveland Cinemas' Capitol Theatre on June 12.
